New controls for admins: As more people join communities, we want to give group admins more control over their group privacy. That’s why we developed a simple tool that allows admins to decide who can join the group. When an admin chooses to share their group’s invite link or open their group to public participation, they will now have more control over who can join. Groups are one of the places where people have their most intimate conversations. Therefore, it is of great importance that administrators can easily decide who can attend and who cannot.
Easily see public groups: As communities grow and groups expand, we want you to be able to easily find out what groups you have in common with someone. When you’re trying to remember the name of a group you know you have in common with someone, or want to see the groups you both belong to, you can now easily see your public groups by searching for the person’s name. These features are part of our work to create new tools to make groups the best experience for admins and members. It will be gradually rolled out worldwide in the coming weeks.“
