An unnamed 28-year-old woman living in the United States began to feel vaginal burning and pain after having unprotected sex with her husband. This made us think that the woman was allergic to her husband’s sperm. But doctors discovered it was a nut allergy, according to the case, published in the medical journal Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
IT REDUCED THE CHANCES OF CONCERNING
While the unidentified couple from Delaware was trying to have a child, the woman discovered she was experiencing what she believed was vaginitis – a vaginal inflammation that can cause discharge, itching, and pain. In addition to the pain, suspected vaginitis reduced the woman’s chances of getting pregnant. The worried woman said her partner suffered after ejaculating inside without a condom, leading to various tests for infection.
THEY SAID YOU SHOULD REMOVE HAZELNUT FROM THE DIET
The entire test came back negative, prompting the medical team to test for human seminal plasma hypersensitivity who are allergic to the protein in sperm. Doctors realized that the woman had already been diagnosed with peanut and tree nut allergies and instructed the man to have unprotected sex again after removing all nuts from his diet.
THEIR PROBLEMS ARE SOLVED AFTER THE PRECAUTION TAKE.
After testing the elimination diet, the couple were happy to report that the problems were no longer present and they were able to continue their healthy sex lives. The case study did not elaborate on how often the man consumed nuts, how long before sex, or how long he waited for any residue to leave his system.
ANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THIS PROBLEM
Although exposure to an allergen through the ejaculate is rare, it has happened before. Earlier this year, OnlyFans star Lucy Banks shared her experience of suffering from an allergic reaction to peanuts from her partner’s ejaculation.
