A confusing situation was seen in the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase, when a TV cameraman got lost on the running track. The runners had to dodge the cameraman, but no one fell.
A TV cameraman got lost in the wrong place at the wrong time at the World Athletics Championships on Tuesday. The cameraman was in the middle of the running track as the 3,000-meter steeplechase finalists rumbled toward Eugene at Hayward Field.
The cameraman apparently didn’t notice the runners at all, because the obstacle finalists had to dodge him. A dangerous situation was seen in the first round of the obstacle final, and no runner, for example, fell. So at least the photographer’s mistake did not significantly affect the outcome of the competition.

The decision of the competition was seen in the final round of the contest. Moroccan Soufiane El Bakkali got away from the others after the water barrier in the last corner.
– The cameraman didn’t bother me. I didn’t really notice him, El Bakkali said in ‘s TV interview.
World champion El Bakkal’s winning time was 8.25.13. Ethiopia won silver Lamecha Girma on 8.26.01. Kenya took the WC bronze Consul Kipruto at 8:27.92.
