While France carried out a 4th repatriation operation in one year this Tuesday (July 4, 2023), RFI gives a voice to the professionals who take care of children returning from Syria to Seine-Saint-Denis. This department of Ile-de-France, entry point for returnees via Roissy airport, has long been the only one to take care of these minors.
Since the end of 2016, 99 children have been monitored by child protection actors from 93, who have developed a support protocol which is now becoming a standard in other departments. What does it consist on ? With more than 5 years of hindsight, what can these professionals say about the development of children?
