A thrilling love story will start on RTL+ in a few days. The House of Dreams, the latest exclusive production of the streaming service, takes you to Berlin in the late 1920s, a vibrant place full of light and shadow. This is where Vicky (Naemi Florez) and Harry (Ludwig Simon) get to know each other. She’s new in town, he’s a penniless pianist. After a short time, the sparks fly.
The two are not only connected by their feelings. Above all, a historic building at Torstraße 1 forms the anchor of their relationship: the Jonas department store, Germany’s first credit department store. It rises impressively from its surroundings and promises upswing and opportunities. It’s a place where dreams come true – but soon the young couple will be put to the test.
Guido Maria Kretschmer designed a very special dress for The House of Dreams
As a history series, The House of Dreams comes up with a variety of detailed costumes. Around 1000 pieces were made for the main and side cast alone. If we take the extras into account, there are even 4000 more costumes. And then there would be another very special dress for Vicky: The house of dreams comes up with a creation by Guido Maria Kretschmer.
The German fashion designer, who is known among other things as the presenter of the popular TV show Shopping Queen, designed the dress especially for Das Haus der Traume. Fabrics were used that came from the Belgian designer Dries van Noten. Over the course of the series the dress plays an important role. The plot of The House of Dreams begins in 1928 and extends over several decades.
