HONEYMOON.

Last year, the Ruka World Cup saw a surprise winner, when Norway Jan Thomas Jensen reached victory in the freestyle 20 km co-start competition.

Jenssen confused again in Kuusamo on the final day, but in a different way. Before the competition at the ski stadium, Jenssen threw up three times. This also happened at the finish line.

Despite vomiting, Jenssen finished second in the competition and won the overall cup last season Harald Östberg Amundsen’s double cloth.

Jenssen Ryki still struggled when he came to ‘s interview after the race and also during the first race.

– Hard, Jenssen Ryki hard and responding to the mood from the race.

– It was hard tracks.

According to Jenssen, he always throws up before the competition.

– I’m fine. It’s more about excitement. It’s not dangerous. I’m healthy, Jenssen threw.

The Terve comment is also appropriate because Norway’s number one star John Hösflot Kläbo dropped out of the competition at the last minute. Kläbo tried skiing in the morning, but according to a statement from the Norwegian Ski Association, he experienced mild flu symptoms. Kläbo didn’t want to risk the rest of the season.

Urheilu’s skiing expert Kalle Lassila saw in Urheilustudio that Jenssen’s actions before the race are not unusual. They are only rarely seen in TV pictures, because the vomiting happens on the side of the toilet.

– Reacting on the stomach is very usual to the events of the day, Lassila described.

And at the end of the competition there was nothing surprising in itself, but now it only became apparent in the TV pictures. When you feel like that, everything is given.

– This is the thing about endurance sports, that you get the most out of yourself, Lassila estimates.
