Connecting to the Network Using the WPS Button
Almost all modems have a WPS button. The WPS button allows your devices to access your internet network without entering any password. When you press the WPS button on the modem, the WPS light on the modem starts to flash. While it is sufficient to press once in some modem models, it may be necessary to press and hold for a few seconds in some modems. After the WPS light starts to flash, you can easily connect your device to the network by selecting the name of your wireless network.
Connecting to Network with WPS Pin
In the WPS method of connecting to the network, a separate pin from the network password is used to access the wireless network. This pin is determined via the modem interface. You can set a 6 or 8 digit pin for your modem by accessing the modem interface from your browser. Then, simply click on the option to connect with WPS from the connection settings of the device you want to connect to the network. Connecting to Printer with WPS
Connecting to the printer with WPS may vary depending on the printer model or features. If you have the ability to dial numbers on your printer, it is possible to connect to the network with the WPS pin. However, if there is no area on the printer where you can key in numbers, you should use the WPS button on the modem. After activating the wireless connection option on your printer, an instruction appears on the screen of your main device, which is usually connected to your modem, that you need to key in the WPS pin on your printer. You can connect the device to the modem by keying the WPS pin on your printer.
If your printer does not have an area where you can dial numbers, you can connect using the WPS button on the modem. Many modems give 60 or 90 seconds for any device to connect to the network after clicking the WPS button.
