From 9:10 p.m., viewers will be able to discover Tomer Sisley in the role of a gangster, who finds himself forced to take in an abandoned child played by Jordan Delassus. This incongruous duo then finds themselves on the run, in a scenario that would almost recall the film A perfect world directed by Clint Eastwood.
Like my son however, has the distinction of being inspired by a disarming true story. That of Jean-Marie Drouet, the real gangster, and his “son”, Ludovic Guittet. He was abandoned by his mother when he was only two years old. For three years, he lives with Drouet for three years. The robber was nevertheless arrested in 1986. Ludovic Guittet then returned to live with his biological mother and suffered abuse. However, he ends up joining Jean-Marie Drouet, who remains for him like a father. The TF1 TV movie was inspired by the book The child of the horse published in 2018. Ludovic Guittet and Jean-Marie Drouet participated in the project. The latter, however, died before its completion, in 2021.
Synopsis – Abandoned by his mother, a little boy goes on an adventure alone and soon comes across an inmate on the run who offers to take him under his wing. Now threatened at any time with being arrested by the police on their heels, the duo embarks on a journey that forces them to be constantly on the move in order to prevent the police from finding them. . In a daily life of bank robberies and various crimes, the little boy and the prisoner grow closer and learn to become like father and son, a situation that lasts several years before the police find them…
