The association cortex is located in the brain.
The associative cortex is a set of brain regions who intervene in the processing of complex information. For example, it is the associative cortex which manages language, memory, visualization, etc. It also proceeds to the synthesis of various perceived information by relating the sensations with their interpretation and our experience (past) as well as our expectations (future). The association cortex takes place in various parts of the brain but mainly in the frontal (at the forehead) and parietal (on the sides of the skull above the ears) lobes.
