WHAT ARE STARLINK SATELLITES?
Starlink is known as a satellite constellation built by the American satellite company SpaceX to provide satellite internet access. The constellation will work with ground stations and will consist of thousands of small mass-produced satellites. SpaceX also plans to sell some of its satellites to armies, while using some of its satellites for exploration and science purposes.
The development of the product in question began in 2015, and the first two prototype satellite test flights were launched in February 2018. The second set of test satellites and the first major deployment included 60 small satellites, and this flight took place on May 24, 2019 (UTC).
All of the research, development, production and orbit control operations on Starlink satellites are carried out at SpaceX satellite development facilities in Redmond, Washington.
