An application from the Ministry of Justice has been available since Thursday, April 27, 2023. It is called “Justice.fr” and aims to inform the French on legal issues.
The Minister of Justice, Éric Dupond-Moretti, had it announcement in January: the implementation of a mobile application for “simplify life“citizens and”bring them closer to their justice“. It is now done. Concretely, it highlights services and information on the functioning of justice. The Keeper of the Seals presented it during the Estates General of Justice last January. The application is one of the 60 measures kept during this work meeting.
What are the services of this application?
In practice, the application makes it possible to carry out simulations on the alimony or legal aid, to be geolocated to be offered practical information on their court, to be offered the nearest “Justice Point” (reception points for obtaining information or help on a legal matter) or find a lawyer quickly, among other things.
About 8,000 thematic sheets are present to find out about questions of family law, civil status, or traffic offenses for example. “Justice.fr” appears when Éric Dupond-Moretti highlights “a digital transformation plan” of his ministry. An expanded application during the year
The application is not yet complete, as the ministry has planned an update this fall to introduce new tools. It will then be possible to make a request for a criminal record, to enter and file a request forlegal aid. Then, its designers want to make it possible to file a request for civil action from 2024.
