On April 24, 2023, liberal doctors learned that the price of their basic consultation will increase by the end of the year by 1.50 euros, from 25 to 26.50 euros. Far from the 50 euros they have been asking for for a long time to compensate for the heavy charges they face. Why such great discomfort? Laurence also recounts the complex consultations and the increase in administrative burdens that weigh on doctors. We also address the lack of practitioners and the desire for many to turn to more profitable medicine, or even for some to abandon the profession.
On January 19, 2023, the unions of liberal doctors suspended the negotiations with the Health Insurance. These negotiations should make it possible to reach a new agreement which will notably set the rates for practitioners for the next 5 years.
