Humidifiers can help relieve nasal congestion. The moist environment helps to keep the nasal passage moist which relieves nasal congestion and ensures proper drainage of the sinuses.
Humidifiers can replace moisture lost in homes and offices due to air conditioning and central heating. Ideally, a person should clean their humidifier daily to prevent the growth of mold and bacteria, both of which can be harmful to health. The ideal humidity ranges between 30-50 percent depending on the room temperature. It’s important to note that higher humidity levels can promote the growth of dust mites and other allergens that can make symptoms worse. A hygrometer, a device that measures relative humidity, can help a person decide when and when to use a humidifier.
People who do not have access to a humidifier, steam; they can provide from a hot water bottle, hot shower, bath or sauna. However, the benefits of steam inhalation are temporary. Make sure the water is not boiling or overly hot to avoid burning the skin.

WHAT IS GOOD FOR NOSE CONSTRUCTION IN BABIES?
One of the safest and most effective ways to help relieve a baby’s congestion is with a saline spray or nasal drops. These products are sold without a prescription.
But before you or your pediatrician decides on a treatment plan, you need to know what is causing this stuffy nose. Nasal congestion occurs when the blood vessels and tissue in the nasal cavity fill with too much fluid. It can make it difficult to sleep and cause problems such as sinus infection (sinusitis). The congestion may also be caused by an allergy. Sometimes a blockage can be a sign of a more serious problem. A stuffy nose due to a cold is usually resolved with saline drops. You can put a vaporizer in your baby’s room that will create humidity. To prevent mold and bacteria growth, change the water daily and clean and dry the evaporator according to the machine’s instructions. Give your baby a warm shower. Place a pillow under the baby’s head at a slight angle with the head higher than the feet. (However, this should be done if your baby is more than 2 years old. It is not recommended to put a pillow under 2 years old as it may cause sudden infant death)
