Arthur launches his new game, entitled “The Wheel”, on TF1 this Friday, June 9, 2023. We explain the rules and the guest stars.
It’s a program that has toured the world but has never been adapted in France. It is now done with The Wheel, game show which begins on TF1 this Friday, June 9, 2023 at 9:10 p.m. The program presented by Arthur takes up an Anglo-Saxon concept in which anonymous players, helped by different stars, will have to answer questions of general knowledge correctly…
But chance also has a place in this program in the form of a giant wheel 12 meters in diameter and can bring bad luck to the candidates… This Friday evening, the candidates will be helped by several personalities well known to viewers: the journalist Philippe Manoeuvre, the singer Shy’m, the chef Michel Sarran but also the judoka Clarisse Agbegnenou.
The Wheel rules explained
More concretely, what are the workings of The Wheel ? The candidate must answer seven questions, on different themes that correspond to the specialty of one of the personalities present on the set. The latter will have to help the candidates. But beware, the wheel will undermine this game of general culture, since it determines which star will help the candidate: if it is the one who is an expert in this theme, the candidate is lucky, but if it is the one who knows the least about it, and has been chosen upstream, the candidate is eliminated and gives up his place to another participant. If the answer is correct, the player wins a sum of money, otherwise he is put aside and leaves his place. If his replacement makes a mistake, he can come back and try his luck in the game.
The Wheel finale
To reach the final of The Wheel, the seventh question must be answered correctly. After two rounds, the two candidates who managed to answer this last question are finalists. They must then answer a final question with the help of a personality present on set. In the event of a tie, the contestant with the largest prize pool wins.
