The genetic fingerprint is an individual’s genetic identity card. The genetic fingerprint takes the form of DNA. The latter is specific to each individual.
To know an individual’s DNA, you must obtain a sample of blood, hair or skin from them. If it is a man, the DNA can be identified using the sperm. Research into genetic fingerprints, and therefore DNA, is very common to determine the paternity of a child or the relationship between two individuals.
