What are the new measures in the canteen?

On July 19, the Ministry of National Education published the new health protocol at school which will come into force at the start of the next school year. It provides for 3 levels depending on the evolution of the epidemic situation with measures which are also changing with regard to school catering:

  • level 1 / green level : the spaces are arranged and the organization adapted to allow the greatest possible distance between the students
  • level 2 / orange level : the stability of the groups of pupils is sought, and as far as possible, the same pupils have lunch every day at the same table in the first stage.
  • level 3 / red level : Same as level 2. In addition, first grade students must maintain a distance of at least two meters from those in other classes.

From level 2 (orange level), when the time slots cannot be spread out and several services can be organized in order to limit mixing between groups of students, spaces other than the premises usually dedicated to catering such as party halls or gymnasiums can be used. As a last resort, take-out meals can be offered if possible by alternating cold take-out meals for students and hot meals in the canteen, establishing a rotation every other day.
