Last year there was a serious accident on Gröna Lund’s roller coaster “Jetline”. The ride derailed and several people fell from a great height. A woman in her 30s died and nine people were taken to hospital.
After the accident, Gröna Lund received criticism from the accident commission.
About a month later, another accident occurred at the amusement park. Then it was an employee who was going to pick up a lost cell phone at the “Insane” roller coaster. On the way to collect the mobile phone, the employee was hit in the head by one of the attraction’s gondolas. The person managed with a slight concussion.
The Express then reported that Gröna Lund themselves made a report about a workplace accident to the Swedish Work Environment Authority.

Customer reported Gröna Lund to ARN
Ahead of this year’s high season, the amusement park has tightened security and TT reports that visitors feel safe.
But now there has been a new report against Gröna Lund to the General Complaints Board (ARN). The report comes from a person who visited the amusement park in the company of two friends and who together looked forward to riding the biggest attractions.
– We paid for three expensive tickets. We were there to ride the big carousels but when we got there four of them were shut down without warning. What have we actually paid for? We came there to go, says the customer Today’s news.
The rides were closed for safety reasons. The customer was dissatisfied and demanded the money back from Gröna Lund, but they did not agree.
– They said that they take safety first, which I understand of course. But one was closed for several days and they could warn before buying a ticket for that much money.
ARN deals with the case and tells Dagens Nyheter that they take the incident seriously.

Gröna Lund’s response about the report
Nöjesparken writes in an email to Dagens Nyheter that information about which attractions are in operation can be found on the website.
“In general, you can say that with a large number of attractions such as Gröna Lund, it can happen that attractions experience temporary downtime or are closed due to, for example, technical maintenance. In order for guests to be able to prepare their visit to Gröna Lund, there is information about which attractions are open on the attraction page on our website, which also shows whether the attraction is closed before concerts.”
