The new Dragonflight expansion for World of Warcraft will be released on November 29th. But what actually happens if you don’t buy Dragonflight? We at MeinMMO will tell you.
What happens if you don’t buy Dragonflight? Basically nothing. Because your WoW account will continue to run if you have paid the subscription costs. You can continue to explore previous areas from Shadowlands and the base game with your characters, and take new characters to level 60.
You will also benefit from some general adjustments, such as balance changes or the new talent trees.
So while playing WoW is possible without any problems, most players will stay in the endgame content. And it is precisely this content that you cannot access without Dragonflight. You miss something like:
So should I buy Dragonflight? Yes. The old content is visited again and again by players who want to raise twinks or who want to join the new expansion, but in the long term you will run out of players in the old areas.
However, you can wait and see how Dragonflight is received by the masses before you blindly buy the expansion. However, it is then advisable to let the subscription rest or to play WoW Classic in the meantime.
Which version of Dragonflight should I buy? Dragonflight appears in 3 different versions. These cost between €50 and €90 and offer different benefits.
Regardless of which version you buy, pre-orders come with an extra bonus, the Drakks pet. This is a cute little humanoid dragon, sort of a mini version of a Dracthyr. However, you only get this bonus if you buy Dragonflight before the release.
