What future for TPMP Things will change assures Cyril Hanouna

Cyril Hanouna had promised to speak this Sunday about Arcom’s decision to withdraw its frequency from C8. But the host is ultimately prolonging the suspense about his future.

The sanction fell on Wednesday, July 24 for C8. The channel of Vincent Bolloré’s Canal+ group had its TNT frequency withdrawn by Arcom. A decision taken by the audiovisual regulator after a series of fines imposed on C8 due to the repeated slip-ups of “Touche Pas à Mon Poste”, Cyril Hanouna’s flagship show. The host had promised to react this Sunday. He is finally temporizing.

“My darlings I will post a video on Sunday evening to tell you everything. And give you my feelings on all this. I love you and I thank you for all your messages! You are just exceptional!” Wrote Cyril Hanouna this Thursday. But in a new message this Sunday, the C8 star believes that “after careful consideration it is still too early for a video”.

“Things are going to change,” says Cyril Hanouna, who promises to do “the best for” his fans and his team. “Let’s let the commentators get a little more excited,” he jokes, before making a date for September 2.

“We will be there when school starts again”

Will the host announce the end of the show “Touche Pas à Mon Poste”? It’s unlikely, according to an email from Cyril Hanouna’s production company, H20, to its employees: “We will be there, on air, at the start of the school year and motivated as never before. All together we will take on this new challenge. One chapter will close, another will open,” we can read according to Le Parisien.

“With or without C8, you will find [Cyril Hanouna] on another channel from the start of the school year,” warned Gérald-Brice Viret, head of the Canal+ group, during his hearing before Arcom. The presenter is already assured of finding his show “On marche sur la tête” on Europe 1.

The C8 channel will keep its TNT frequency until February 2025. For the future, the program “Touche Pas à Mon Poste” could switch to another channel of the Bolloré group.
