As a reminder, the first two episodes were broadcast on April 12, 2021. Faced with the audience success (more than 7 million viewers for its first episode), the first channel decided to renew the series. Less than a year later, fans of the program can discover the rest of the adventures of this French teacher who is definitely not like the others.
In episode 3 of Substitute, this evening on TF1, a student will make fun of the homosexuality of a high school teacher, but Nicolas Valeyre will be convinced that the high school student is not homophobic. During episode 4, the French teacher will be suspected of having assaulted Meilleur and risks losing his place in National Education. The two new episodes are already available on the platform of streaming somersault.
Joey Starr came up with the idea for his character
Joey Starr admits it himself in an interview with TF1: it was he who had the idea for his character. “This idea came to me when I heard on the news that the national education system was short of staff and that the conditions for being able to teach were extended to graduates who just had to complete their training with an internship. I thought that this opened the door. to different teachers. From this premise, was born this intrigue in the school environment around a gruff French teacher with original methods in a high school, who ignores his hierarchy and the administration to help students find their way.

TF1 broadcast the pilot of Substituteconsisting of two episodes, on April 12, 2021. However, Replacing was thought of as a series: the audiences being there during the first burst of broadcasting, the first channel decided to renew the series. Joey Starr plays Nicolas Valeyre in the series Replacing.
