On June 21, 2019, young Evaëlle, 11 years old, hanged herself while she was at home in Herblay-sur-Seine, in Val-d’Oise. A French teacher was indicted for having harassed the student. She will be judged by the Pontoise criminal court for having “degraded the living conditions” of her student, indicates Point. The teacher allegedly “regularly humiliated” Evaëlle and isolated her. In its indictment, the prosecution noted that the accusations of harassment against the teacher against Evaëlle had been corroborated by “almost all of the 6th grade students”, underlines The world.
