While the famous surgeon of the stars is currently implicated for “failed” operations, the web sees many high-sounding titles flourish suggesting that some health professionals are better than others. The National Council of the Order of Physicians wants to be very strict on this subject. Explanations.
Dr. Benjamin Azoulay, star doctor with 50,000 subscribers on Instagram, is accused by several patients of having “missed” cosmetic surgery operations. One of them was even close to death – after receiving injections of hyaluronic acid in the muscles. However, Doctor Azoulay, installed in one of the most beautiful districts of Paris, is considered as one of the gifted surgeons of his generation. But what is the qualification of “star doctor” really worth? Do healthcare professionals have the right to change their titles? Answers.
Practices formally prohibited by the code of medical ethics
Curved buttocks, swollen lips, planed nose… On Instagram, photos of “remade” bodies abound. And for good reason: doctors and cosmetic surgeons do not hesitate to display photos of their patients, who are particularly “happy” and “satisfied” with their operation.
However, advertising is strictly prohibited by the National Council of the Order of Physicians (CNOM), in the same way as the modification of a title:
“The usurpation of titles, the use of titles not authorized by the national council as well as all procedures intended to mislead the public on the value of its titles are prohibited.can we read in the code of medical ethics (article R.4127-30).
Only useful information can be indicated
Clearly, the doctor must only provide information likely to be of service to his patients, such as the address, the days and hours of opening of his practice, his telephone number, his situation vis-à-vis the organizations of health insurance or the diplomas he has obtained. All in one place:

However, it is difficult to make the difference on the networks between advertising and information of a medical nature… and the doctors who devote themselves to it know it well.
