The first Diablo 4 beta test is ending soon, the second is still pending. MeinMMO explains what you can keep from your progress. Is it even worth playing?

You can keep this: When the pre-order beta ends at 8:00 p.m. on March 20th, you will keep all your progress until the weekend of the open beta. The open beta starts on March 24th at 5:00 p.m. and runs until March 27th at 9:00 p.m.

But after the open beta there is a wipe. Everything you have earned will be lost: levels, legendaries and any progress you have made in the story and world. For the release in June, all players will have to start again from 0.

Still, it’s worth playing the beta. Because even if you are not allowed to “take” anything with you in the narrower sense, you will receive a reward for playing.

What you get for playing: Those who play the Diablo 4 Open Beta can earn several rewards for the finished game. Depending on how far you get, you get:

  • Cosmetic: Wolf Bundle – Reach level 20
  • Title: First Sacrifice – Upon reaching Kyovashad
  • Title: Early Explorer – Reach level 20

    • However, these rewards are not immediately available. Even if you hit level 20, you still won’t get a wolf pup in the beta. The titles and transmogs will only be activated for your account with the release in June.

    Is it worth it for other reasons? Cosmetics aside, the beta will give you an early look at the game and give you a better chance of deciding whether to buy Diablo 4. Here you can find information about the editions of Diablo 4.

    However, the beta is expressly a test. Accordingly, there may be errors and server problems and a lot of content is not finished yet. For example, it is already known that the localization is not complete. Some passages are still purely in English, the German translation is yet to come.
