JURASSIC WORLD 3. The third and final part of the Jurassic World saga will be released in theaters this Wednesday, June 8, 2022. Critics’ opinions before seeing the film.
[Mis à jour le 8 juin 2022 à 9h54] Humans must learn to live with dinosaurs in Jurassic World 3: The World After, in theaters this Wednesday, June 8, 2022. This is the conclusion of the saga started in 2015 by Colin Trevorrow. Despite the expectation of finding the universe of Jurassic Park, French critics are very mixed on the quality of this final episode. This last episode plays the card of nostalgia, since, according to cinema teaser“despite some beautiful images and an interesting theme, Le Monde d’après clumsily replays mythical scenes from the first part”.
Among the positive reviews on Jurassic World 3, it is the entertainment that takes precedence. Télé Loisirs concedes that this conclusion is “visually striking, mixing spectacle, science, humor, thrill and emotion”, while The Parisian welcomes the work done on dinosaurs. For Le Figaro finally, “this sixth feature film knows how to stay in its place. It is content to be spectacular entertainment without any other philosophical pretension”. The negative reviews point to the writing of the feature film. “The new Jurassic World is weighed down by its mechanical fan service and its weak writing”, lapidates Firstwhile Point is also sharp when he calls the film “sadly mediocre”.
The return of iconic Jurassic Park characters
Colin Trevorrow, who had to be absent for the second episode, which canned Jurassic World 3 with the return of Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Bryce Dallas Howard (Black Mirror) in the lead roles. They are accompanied for the occasion by the three tutelary figures of the Jurassic Park saga, of which the three episodes of Jurassic World are the sequel. We count on the presence of Jeff Golbdlum, Sam Neill and Laura Dern, the latter two not being present in the previous episode unlike Goldblum.
What is the plot of Jurassic World 3?
What is this third episode about? It’s quite simple: at the end of the events of Jurassic World 2, dinosaurs now live freely in the world and no longer on the island of Isla Nublar. Their unchecked presence in the wild causes environmental devastation and they continue to be the target of poaching but also of companies looking for easy profits. It is in this context that the offspring of Blue, a velociraptor raised by Owen (Chris Pratt), is kidnapped by hunters. Together with Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard), the dinosaur trainer tries to help her and take her to a dinosaur sanctuary.
