[Mis à jour le 1er février 2023 à 11h31] On Tuesday January 31, 2023, TF1 finally lifted the veil on the broadcast date of the first episode of Koh Lanta: The Sacred Fire. This is the new season of its adventure game hosted by Denis Brogniart. After a first teaser during the Football World Cup at the end of 2022, here is the broadcast date of Koh Lanta 2023: it is Tuesday February 21, 2023 that Koh Lanta returns to the antennas of TF1. Enough to confirm that the game will therefore remain in its new Tuesday evening box which had caused so much ink to flow at the time. We also know that 20 candidates will take part in this new edition, which was toured in the Philippines last year.
In a promotional spot, we had also been able to learn a little more about the next season of the survival game worn by Denis Brogniart. The 2023 season of Koh Lanta will therefore be called Koh Lanta: The Sacred Fire, in reference to what will be the great gadget of this future season. In the video that you can discover above, we can hear some explanations: “In the Philippines, a legend tells that a God secretly kept a sacred fire in the bowels of the Mayon volcano. A fire with considerable powers which gave birth to a equally powerful talisman”. At a press conference, the contours of this sacred fire were drawn: represented by a talisman, this will be won by one of the candidates in the first event of this Koh Lanta season.
It will play a major role in the adventure, as Julien Magne, director of Adventure Line Productions (ALP) programs tells us: the candidate who will have it will have a protective power. If his tribe goes to the council, the one who has the sacred fire will be able to protect himself from the vote, or transmit his power to protect one of his teammates. He will also be able to go to the opposing camp to protect the opponent of his choice when his team goes to the council. This advantage will last until reunification, and will be brought back into play with each comfort game.

Koh-Lanta is an adventure game broadcast since 2001 on TF1. It was presented by Hubert Auriol for the first season. Since 2002, Denis Brogniart has been in charge of hosting the program. Several adventurers try to survive on a deserted island until the finale. In this entertainment of survival and strategy, several tests punctuate each episode, and a candidate is eliminated by the other participants, until there are only five left. The latter then decide on two emblematic tests: the orientation and the posts, before the final vote. Since its inception, the game has seen many rule changes.

It was on the evening of June 21, 2022 that TF1 broadcast the grand finale of Koh Lanta, the cursed totem. After 39 days of survival in the Philippines, it was Bastien and François who were chosen by the final jury as the big winners of the season. The two candidates supplanted Géraldine with 4 votes each against 3.
Koh-Lanta is a TF1 program broadcast twice each year on the first channel: a first season is broadcast in the spring, a second at the end of the summer. Each episode is available on television but also live on the MyTF1 site via tablet, computer or smartphone. The show is available for replay the next day on the MyTF1 website and this for a period of 7 days. Note that the replays are posted on the Salto platform for an indefinite period, which allows the most avid fans to see or re-watch the entire season.
