The speed and precision with which one obtains not only factual answers to pointed questions, but even complete and structured presentations on complex subjects, is astounding. By drawing on the aggregate resources of billions of texts, ChatGPT manages to authoritatively address historical, political, legal and scientific problems that the human mind would take a few hours, or even days, to synthesize.
