How to choose your barbecue? It’s not easy to choose a particular barbecue model. Before you can enjoy your grilled meats in charming company, you will first need to take certain criteria into account:
- the space available (balcony, garden, no exterior, etc.);
- the budget ;
- preferred type of cooking;
- maintenance;
- the frequency of use.
All of these criteria will allow you to choose one model of barbecue rather than another. The charcoal barbecue
Indispensable and authentic, the charcoal barbecue is a garden staple. If the coal brings a characteristic grilled taste to your meats, fish and vegetables, it nevertheless takes quite a long time to light. Its price remains within a range of 15 to 300 euros, depending on the model: it therefore adapts easily to all budgets. Light and easy to transport, there are transportable models for barbecues in the great outdoors.
The gas barbecue allows you to choose your cooking mode thanks to a button allowing you to adjust the temperature: you can thus adjust the intensity according to whether you want a stone grill, a wok or a grill. Only downside, you will have to buy a gas bottle to be able to operate your barbecue. If this type of model is perfect for large gardens, it does however represent a more substantial financial investment.
Light and compact, the electric barbecue is ideal in town on a balcony or in a small garden. In addition, it does not produce smoke like charcoal. Some models can be placed on the table, by simply plugging them into the household electric current. Prefer a model with a lid to avoid prolonged cooking and a grease collection drawer for easy maintenance.
Considered more aesthetic, the fixed barbecue perfectly completes a summer kitchen. It is built of stones, bricks or concrete directly at the chosen location in your garden. Most of the time, it is used with charcoal but built-in gas versions also exist on the market.
