Faye Louise, 39, who lives in West Sussex, England, had been experiencing intense menstrual pain for years. The intense pains that started in March 2023 lasted much longer this time. So worried, Louise went to Redhill Hospital for an ultrasound and CT scan.

A FULLY 17 CINT CYST…
Louise, who fell ill while waiting for the results and was hospitalized, was discovered to have a 17-centimeter cyst growing from her left ovary to her stomach.
In addition, after the tests showed that there was some swelling in the appendix, surgeons decided to remove the mass. After it was revealed that the cyst was fine, the doctors were shocked by what they saw on the operating table.
A cancerous tumor was discovered in the appendix wall.
Surgeons had to leave the mass in Faye Louise’s body to prevent the tumor from breaking down and infiltrating other organs.
Although the cancer was benign at the time, there was a risk that it could break through the appendix wall and turn into an extremely rare and malignant cancer known as pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP).
IT HAPPENED TO BE FEARED
But after a while, the tumor in Faye Louise’s body burst and spread the low-grade mucinous neoplasm around her body. A potentially fatal diagnosis of PMP was made.
Faye Louise was referred to Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, which specializes in such complex cancers, in September 2023.
Louise conveyed her experiences with the following statements:
“My consultant showed me my scans and told me that the cancer had spread around the peritoneum (the membrane lining the abdominal cavity). He told me that the recommended treatment was a very extensive operation and that multiple organs would need to be removed. Heated chemotherapy would then be administered directly into the abdomen. This means any type of surgery that the surgeons cannot see.” “It’s a magic cure that kills cancer.”
Faye Louise had surgery in November and eight organs were removed from her body, including her gallbladder, spleen, appendix, small intestine (reattached to the colon), ovaries, uterus and part of her liver and peritoneal abdominal cavity.
As a result of a successful operation, Louise is now cancer-free.
But the journey to recovery has been challenging.

In a statement to Jam Press, Louise said: “There were no signs of cancer before the surgery, and after the surgery I felt like the world was falling apart.” she said.
Louise stated that she was planning her funeral after the surgery and said, “I lost my mother to bowel cancer two years ago, so my first thought was; history repeats itself. I was having panic attacks frequently. These were truly the worst days and weeks of my life. “I was looking at funeral plans and telling my partner Will that I might not live to be 45 or 50,” he said.
“I TAKE ORAL MORPHINE TO RELIEVE THE PAIN”
Faye Louise is supported by her boyfriend Will, 30, and finds strength in their dog Neville.
Louise stated that she takes oral morphine to relieve the pain and said: “I will now have a three to six month recovery period at home. It has been very painful and very difficult so far. I sleep a lot and take oral morphine to relieve the pain. I am 10 kilos lighter than the hospital with 65 staples.” “I am currently in early menopause, so I will need to take hormone replacement therapy. I will also need to have follow-up scans annually to make sure there are no relapses.” she said.
