Anna Holmlund has really had to struggle.
After the nasty accident six years ago.
But now there are new pictures that all Swedes praise.

It has been over six years since the terrible accident in Innichen, Italy, on December 19, 2016. The Swedish star Anna Holmlund was one of the world’s best ski crossers and was at the peak of his career when the inevitable happened in a training session.

Holmlund’s accident

Holmlund lost control and crashed violently on the ski slope. She suffered life-threatening head injuries and was fighting for her life after being sedated and placed in a coma.

After five months of sedation, Anna Holmlund woke up again and miraculously survived. After that, it has been a long and tough road back with many hours of rehabilitation for the Swede, who is now 35 years old.

Swedish shelves

Her struggle to return to a normal everyday life has inspired many Swedes and everyone has been impressed by the incredible will and determination that Anna possesses. These days she can get around without a wheelchair and her speech has improved significantly.

Anna Holmlund often posts on social media to show what everyday life is like and what progress she is making. Now new pictures have arrived that make the Swedish people applaud and pay tribute to her.
“Now I have just been out and walked for about 1 km, it took 1 hour and 10 minutes. Before the injury I just did nothing, but now it’s all the more. Right now I think it’s nice to just move,” she writes on Instagram along with a video, which you can see below.

The video of her admirable walk, see it below, has received nearly six thousand likes on Instagram and generous tributes in the comments section.
“Hey hey, what a role model you are!”, writes one of her followers.
“But Anna… You’re amazing! So fun to see,” writes another.
“I have followed your journey and you are so brave and stubborn. To me, you are a real hero from real life,” writes a third.
