Mindhunter mostly leaves out the crimes themselves. Rather, this is what the David Fincher production is about the horror that comes from just conversations and descriptions in your head. By presenting the serial killers, who are often exaggerated in mythological terms, as humanly as they rarely are, Mindhunter is probably the scariest serial killer series ever.
The third season of the Netflix gem was finally canceled in 2023
With a Netflix subscription you can so far 2 seasons with a total of 19 episodes stream. After the second season was released in 2019, fans have been looking forward to a third season for years. In a 2023 interview, Fincher spoke about Netflix no longer continuing Mindhunter. The series is said to be quite expensive and will not reach an audience that the streaming service considers to be large enough.
It is currently unknown whether the series could end up on another streaming service. At the moment it looks like Mindhunter will no longer have a third season.
