A tough autumn with a lot of criticism from outside.
Then Djurgården’s goalkeeper coach Michael Andréasson went to Spain with Hugo Hävelid and Viktor Andrén during a national team break.
– They had to think about other things and get away from hockey, says Andréasson to TV4 Hockey.
Despite a good start in terms of points, things began to grumble early in Djurgårdsled when the team’s goalkeeper pair of Hugo Hävelid and Viktor Andrén did not get up to par.
The most heated was probably the criticism in connection with the team’s home meeting with Björklöven in October, when the latter Andrén was replaced after conceding five goals.
Later in the fall, the pair played with a great Hugo Hävelid at the helm and now the team’s goalkeeper coach Michael Andréasson reveals how the “team within the team” worked during the season to shut out the noise.
Drove to the sun in Spain
Among other things, they have gone on a sun holiday to Spain together.
The trio left the cold in Sweden for the warmth of the Mediterranean during a national team break.
– We decided that we wanted to get going. It’s the only time they can let it all go. We were there for three days, ate well and enjoyed life and the great weather, so it was very nice. They had to think about other things and get away from hockey. I think it is very important to do such things, says Michael Andréasson to TV4 Hockey.
“They go from strength to strength”
When asked if he thinks the goalkeeper pair has what it takes to take Djurgården back to the SHL this spring, Andréasson answers:
– I am 100 percent sure, then others probably have opinions about it, but they go from clarity to clarity. Then it won’t be an easy road – it will be a bumpy road – but it’s going in the right direction.
