Went on a scary crash – then Sara Hjalmarsson became a hero for Linköping

It was at the beginning of the second period when Sara Hjalmarsson and Hanna Thuvik competed for the puck that the accident occurred. The Brynäs forward tackled the LHC captain and both fell handlessly straight into the side.

– Ouch, ouch, that looked bad, exclaimed TV4 Play’s commentator Apollonia Mälarberg.

Both players were able to get up and go to their respective booths for their own machine.

And Hjalmarsson was obviously fit to play, because later in the same period she stepped forward and scored 3-1 for Linköping. In total, the star, who returned to Sweden before the season after several years in North America, accounted for one goal and two assists. Hanna Thuvik also completed the match.

LHC won 5-2 and moves past Brynäs and up to third place in the table.

– Great to take the win today. Important to get a good start after the national team break, says Madelen Haug Hansen to TV4 Play.
