Welsh Montebourg… In Arcachon they will celebrate Made in France

A huge success at the Palais des Congrès in Arcachon: all 500 seats in the auditorium have been reserved. The second edition of “The Beach for Entrepreneurs“, of which The Express is a partner, opens this morning at 9 a.m. This event for business leaders committed to “Made in France” is this year under the sponsorship of Louis Gallois. The former boss of SNCF and Airbus will participate in a round table on the contributions of artificial intelligence to the reindustrialization of the country.

Another conference on the program: “National sovereignty, a lever for green industry”. At the forefront of the fight during their respective political careers, Arnaud Montebourg and Yves Jégo will debate the beneficial effects of industrial relocation on the climate, in the company of Arnaud Leroy, former president of Ademe and director of sustainable development of the family group SPHERE , specialized in recyclable packaging. Interspersed with testimonies from entrepreneurs who have chosen to produce in France – Bernadette Dodane (Cristel), Mickael Pan (Flotte), Marion Goilav (Elia Lingerie) or Thomas Huriez (1083) -, the day will end with an open discussion with Olivia Grégoire, the Minister of SMEs, crafts, trade and tourism.

Economic patriotism

CEO for nearly twenty years of the Smuggler brand, the last French costume designer, and now president of the Origine France Garantie (OFG) certification, Gilles Attaf is the man-orchestra of these second Arcachon meetings, in which he participated last year. last as guest. “The question of reindustrialization has come back in force in the public debate for some time,” he notes with pleasure. “Those who, like me, were resistance fighters from the start rejoice all the more as it there is now a convergence of struggles: producing locally is good for the economy, good for social cohesion, because we recreate employment in forgotten territories, and good for the planet, thanks to the benefits of short circuits .”

More than 600 French companies are now OFG certified, in industry but also services, after an in-depth audit. The last one to be convinced weighs heavily. “We have just signed a partnership with TotalEnergies,” confides Gilles Attaf. “In each service station, customers will soon find a corner exclusively dedicated to Origine France Garantie products.” One more fuel in the engine of economic patriotism.
