A leaker to Call of Duty says there could be no Warzone 3 if an important update does not bring the hoped -for success.
What kind of leak is that? “Theghostofhope” is a well -known leaker for Call of Duty, who has often been right in the past with his predictions and has over 80,700 followers on X.
In a new post dated March 3, the Leaker reveals on X.com (formerly Twitter) that the Call of Duty – he calls it Modern Warfare IV – could bring no integration for Warzone. But he also says that the Battle Royale shooter still has a chance.
What does that have to do with the end of Warzone? If there is really no update to Warzone 3 in 2026, this would probably initiate the death of the shooter, since a new code always brings new weapons, maps and gadgets to Warzone. Without new content, more and more players would probably turn their back on the shooter – and the number of players is currently at the same time on Steam anyway (via Steamcharts).

What is the last chance for Warzone? According to the Leaker, there will be no Warzone 3, “if Verdansk does not succeed in keeping current/ returning players.”
Verdansk is the original map of Warzone with which the Battle Royale shooter 2020 started. To date, Verdansk is the most popular map of the game and many players are looking forward to the announced return of the iconic map.
There is no specific date for the return of Verdansk yet, but before the release of Black Ops 6 it was said that the map would return to Warzone in spring 2025. Some fans expect it to finally be ready with Season 3. This should start on April 3 (Call of Duty via X.com).
