Welfare Enel inaugurates the corporate nursery Growing with Energy in

(Finance) – Supporting parenthood by promoting increasingly inclusive and sustainable work environments. With this objective Enel inaugurated today in Rome in the new headquarters in via Luigi Boccherini, the “Growing with Energy” company nursery. The Minister for Family, Birth Rate and Equal Opportunities cut the ribbon of the new facility Eugenia Roccellathe Councillor for Culture, Equal Opportunities, Youth and Family Policies, Civil Service of the Lazio Region Simona Renata Baldassarrethe Councilor for School, Training and Work of the Municipality of Rome Claudia Pratelli, the President of the II Municipality of Rome Francesca Del Bello and the CEO of Enel Flavio Cattaneo, in the presence of Enel directors Elizabeth ColacchiaPeople & Organization, Stephen Ciurli, Global Services, Nicholas MardeganExternal Relations, and Nicholas Lanzetta, Director Italy.

The nursery, dedicated to the children of people working at Enel’s offices in Rome, has obtained authorization from the Municipality of Rome and can accommodate 42 children aged between 3 months and 3 yearswith a monthly fee paid 50% by the company. The new facility – Enel explains in a note – is part of a highly innovative educational project that aims to support the autonomous and creative development of children, integrating daily English language learning activities with lessons in music, psychomotor skills, art, cognitive development, symbolic play and initiation to reading. The nursery also offers an internal kitchen service with varied and seasonal menus.

This initiative constitutes a further welfare measure that adds to the already substantial Group share package to support parenting throughout Italy, including: the temporal extension of paternity leave and a favorable remuneration for parental leave; adherence to the “Code of Self-Discipline of Responsible Companies in favor of maternity”, promoted by the Ministry for the Family; flexibility with the possibility of working in smart working and part-time and the provision of economic contributions for nurseries, schools, summer camps and study trips abroad.
