AMERONGEN – The weir at Amerongen, which was temporarily closed due to a stalled ship near Wageningen, is open again. Rijkswaterstaat closed the weir to free the tanker that was stuck 20 kilometers away in the Lower Rhine. This lasted for hours, because the colossus had been lying across the river since Friday evening. Previous attempts to free the colossus failed.
