Weekly reset on October 24th – Brings the final lore to Season 22

This week, Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost enters its second week. So new opportunities await for the coolest weapon memento. The players can also expect the last voiceline of the Season 22 story and Bungie has already revealed that there could still be a surprise waiting.

This is what’s happening this week: The story of Season 22 currently appears to be complete. The Guardians resurrected Savathûn, the Witch-Queen, and Eris Morn was briefly the strongest Hive entity ever. That seemed to make sense as an ending. But Bungie revealed on October 13th, after the “official” ending, that “Season of the Witch is not over yet.”

In week 10, the final voiceline of the Season of the Witch arrives and the Guardians are excited to see if there will be another unexpected twist. At least one secret triumph still awaits revelation.

What that could be remains speculation.

  • Some players believe that Eris is still falling for her dark side.
  • Others believe that Savathûn’s Pillar’s Imbaru engine still holds secrets. Especially since secret areas were only recently discovered there.
  • Still others believe that Immaru, the mischievous spirit of Savathûn, could play an even larger role. He seems to have already given himself away when he revealed that Savathûn’s plan is bigger than we yet know.

    • So it remains exciting, and since the 22nd season with its flock theme was well received by many, one hopes for an unexpected twist that sheds new light on the Witch Queen’s plans and the hunt for the witness.

    However, let’s first take a look at what’s happening in the ritual playlists this week and what you can expect.

  • Robbery Battleground: Europe
  • A tough test of your strength as you must take down the robbery battlefield on Europa. You go to fight the Eye of Xivu Arath. In addition, many deadly lasers, traps and a lot of crowds await you.

    • Earn this Twilight Weapon this week: The Swarm, Arkus Machine Gun. Please note: This is the last opportunity to obtain this weapon in its master version. In Season 23 it falls out of the twilight rotation and makes room for something new.

    Crucible – This is the rotating PvP activity

  • The two modes Conflict and Team Scorched are running in PvP this week.

    • Endgame: Raid Challenges and Dungeon Rotation

    Farmable endgame alternating weekly: As the endgame progresses, legacy rotations await.

    Both the rotation raid, the rotation dungeon and the exotic rotation missions are farmable. This means that you can complete the individual encounters over and over again to get different items and complete your collection. Including any Exotics available in this content.

  • The weekly legacy raid is “The Deepstone Crypt” with the weapon exotic “Eyes of Tomorrow”
  • In addition, there is extra loot in the dungeon “The Broken Throne” and the currently best exo bow in the game, the “Wisher”.
  • The weekly exo mission is “Auguries” with the scout exo Tale of a Dead Man.

    • Weekly activities

    These are the ritual activities: Season 22 offers Guardians new challenges and a card deck that supports them on their missions with buffs and advantages. As long as they unlock everything and put together their deck appropriately.

  • Altars of Summoning: Make offerings in the Witch Queen’s otherworldly prison to summon, defeat, and gain power from hideous enemies.
  • There are three difficulty levels that you can activate. So if you activate “Mighty”, the highest difficulty level with three swords, you’ll start to sweat a lot.
  • However, expanding your deck makes it increasingly easier.
  • Savathûn’s Pillar: Set the Pillar in motion, defeat its overseers, and gain access to the Altars of Summoning.
  • Void Crystals have a barrier around them, protecting nearby enemies. The barrier must be entered and the crystal destroyed from within.
  • Solar Crystals burn when picked up and must be transported to a separate part of the arena.
  • Arc Crystals provide the Charge buff “Crystalline Charge” in melee combat. Inactive Arc Crystals must be awakened with a “Transfer Melee”.

    • This event is currently active: Guardians can celebrate the Festival of the Lost for two weeks starting today. It offers candy that you can exchange for weapons or exotics. Or you can do bounties to replenish your supply of Bright Dust. The coolest Memento is currently up for grabs at the festival.

    Lightfall – Weekly Campaign Mission

  • “Desperate measures”
  • The Guardians have to go deep underground in Lightfall to reach the “Veil”. They receive support from Caiatl troops in an epic battle at the gates of the Ishtar facility.

    • Ascendant Challenge – Dreaming City

    If you still need triumphs from the dream city: With a sip of “Queen’s Leaves Tincture”, the corruption will reveal new entrances so that you can find them.

  • Petra Venj is located at the top of the pavilion in the “The Shore” area in the Dreaming City. The Curse cycle restarts and Curse Week 1 is active. The 5th ascendant challenge is also active.

    More power level comes automatically: Power levels will also be suspended in Season 22, meaning the hard power level cap in Destiny 2 remains unchanged at 1,810. This means that no player is forced to perform at their best every week, but rather automatically levels up the artifact level in all activities.

  • There are still tough challenges, even without increasing the power level. For example, in Grandmaster Raids, Frontier Twilights, Grandmaster Lost Sectors or the Trials of Osiris. A high artifact level is advantageous and necessary here.
