Destiny 2 begins week three of Season 17 today and so the current story will also be continued. Players once again delve into the past of the NPCs. MeinMMO is right in the middle and tells you what is currently happening in the story and what activities await you this week.
This is happening this week: Bungie is currently setting standards with the current Season 17 – both positive and negative. Players are dissatisfied with the state of PvP and the new Solar 3.0 skills. With the reset and today’s update, however, a few more errors should already be ironed out.
Additionally, alongside this week’s regular activities, the seasonal story mission continues again today. This means players can revisit the Separation activity on Forsaken Leviathan and face another nightmare. First leaks also point to a cut scene with Zavala and his female nightmare Safiyah.
What happened in the story last week? Over the past week, Crow has endured more taunts and insinuations from his nightmare old ego, Uldren Sov.
What was particularly interesting here was Destiny 2’s subliminal message. Rather than fighting those voices that tell you you’re not good enough, the game encourages you to try to embrace them instead and “morph” them. Troublesome nightmares become acceptable memories.
Crow is also now at peace with Uldren Sov thanks to his acceptance. He even believes that he now really knows his destiny. He now wants to pay off his debt by continuing to take over Cayde’s old patrols and be there for the hunters. Applying to Commander Zavala for the Jaeger Vanguard post now seems a mere formality. But whether the keepers in Destiny 2 like that remains to be seen. Especially since Ikora just had a visit from Cayde’s nightmare.

New activities have also come into play with Season 17. Explore the Forsaken Leviathan and face the nightmares or surprise bosses in the new patrol zone. Pull the solar scythe there and defend yourself in the nightmare containment.

This is the new max level: In the new season of the haunted, the maximum power level of your gear is 1,570. This means that the power level at the start of the new season 17 has increased by +10 power levels compared to the previous season 16. All players have also been raised to the base power level of 1350. If you want to level up fast, you can also play the Legendary Campaign of the Witch Queen expansion and get 1,520 on completion and get a new exotic.
