As soon as Destiny 2 has swept its space granny Eva Levante and with it the winter event from the tower, Lord Saladin already takes her place. So players can expect a new PvP mode called “Fortress” and much more after the reset today. MeinMMO tells you what the week has to offer.

This is happening this week: The festive days are over and Destiny 2 is gearing up once again for its Guardians’ combat training preparations. Lord Saladin returns to the tower tonight and has the PvP mode “Fortress” for you with his new boss “Caiatl”. In Season 19 you have the chance to get the Seal of the Iron Lord, a new armor set, two new weapons and top gear.

What exactly is the new Iron Banner mode? In Fortress, your goal as a team is to capture and hold zones. If this sounds like the familiar Zone Control mode to you, then you’re right. The necessary sharpness within the matches should move into the iron banner this time through “Caiatl”. Seems they have some Cabal turrets stationed on the map. So the goals will change once “Caiatl” and her troops are involved. You can play the new mode in Iron Banner until January 10 at 6 p.m.

Vanguard: Dawn – The Crucible

  • Elsie Bray enlists the Guardians’ help to stop the Vex advance on Europa. Go forth and defeat the transcendent spirit “Belmon” again in the twilight.

  • The Singe modifier stays with you throughout the week, the others change daily.

    • Endgame: Raid challenges and dungeon rotation

    This is what happens in the Raid “Königfall”:

    In the current raid “Königsfall” the grass is getting greener and greener to get more loot.

  • Specifically, to complete the “The Grass Is Always Greener” challenge, after taking a side from the buff and discarding your points, you must switch sides. This means that if you first gave up the witch, the knight and your points on the left side of the totem, you move to the right side and do the same procedure there.
    • Raid Rhuk and Dungeon Calus are vying for your attention this week.

    The following raid requirements and challenges await you:

  • In Normal mode, completing a challenge earns you double the loot.
  • You only get status-specific armor and master weapons from the grandmaster raid.
  • You can also earn the new Oryx-themed raid-exclusive Exotic cosmetics in Grandmaster.

    • Additional Legacy Pinnacle Rewards from Endgame:

  • The Witch Queen Legacy Raid “Apprentice’s Oath” is active awaiting you.
  • Play the “Duality” dungeon for more pinnacle loot.

  • In the Witch Queen campaign mission, on a tip from Fynch, you search the dark corners of Savathun’s throne world for another clue to how she stole the light.

  • Petra Venj is at the top of the pavilion in the area “The Shore” in the Dreaming City. The curse cycle restarts and curse week 1 is active. The 5th Ascendant Challenge is also active.

  • The Warlock can look forward to an ornament for the “Geomag Stabilizers”. It’s called “Alternative Transmission”.
