(Finance) – Webuildthe big Italian construction and engineering company, communicated the launch of four new construction sites in Southern Italy, two between Campania and Puglia, and two in Sicily, for a total value of over 3 billion euros. These are the last two construction sites of the fast line Naples-Barifor the construction of the Hirpinia-Orsara and Orsara-Bovino sections, 40 kilometers of track, and the construction sites for the construction of the first two functional lots of the Messina-CataniaFiumefreddo-Taormina / Letojanni and Giampilieri-Taormina sections, for a total of 43 kilometers of line.
The works start after the award made by Rete Ferroviaria Italia (FS Italiane Group) in 2021 and the subsequent preparation of the executive project. To perform the interventions will be four consortiaone for each section, each participated by the group Webuild, leader and 70% shareand by Impresa Pizzarotti, at 30%.
Webuild is present at Southincluding islands, with 15 projects, with over 2,300 companies involved from the beginning of the works and about 3,700 people employed, direct and third parties.
