Brave, the web browser, which has made the protection of the privacy of its users its priority, has just updated its iOS application to version 1.38.
Among the novelties unveiled, Brave inaugurates a confidentiality center. With this “Privacy Hub”, Brave intends to show you the different elements that have been blocked by the browser during your browsing. It also wants to show you how it protects your personal information online.
Thanks to it, you can find out which trackers are most frequently blocked during your surfing sessions, but also discover the websites you visit that have the most trackers on board. This privacy center also highlights the riskiest cookies and pages you have been exposed to while browsing.
This update to version 1.38 of Brave is also an opportunity for the browser to strengthen its protection against fingerprinting. To do this, rather than blocking them altogether, the browser introduces random sampling to the APIs used to generate your digital fingerprint. The protection is thus better, without risking that it “breaks” the proper functioning of the sites you visit.

Already available on the Desktop and Android versions of Brave, the certificate viewer is now accessible on iOS. By pressing the small padlock icon in the address bar, you can view the associated security certificate, and thus check whether it is still valid, revoked, and whether it complies with the standards in force.
