From Pays de la Loire, through Auvergne, Alsace to Rhône-Alpes, this disruption will affect a large part of the country. Between 30 and 50 mm of water are expected locally during the day, or even between 70 to 80 mm in the Vosges or the Jura, the equivalent of one to three weeks of rain usually during this period.
Temperatures remain stable between 14 and 23 degrees this Tuesday afternoon. On Wednesday, rain persists in the center-east, particularly in the Alps, then will advance towards the south. A stormy spell could occur in PACA.
You will have to wait for a specific day for the weather to improve. If in the east, the weather will remain unstable and the wind will blow around the Mediterranean, conditions will improve in the west and north from Thursday, with nice clearings. The Azores high could bring some respite.
This improvement should continue on Friday with a few cloudy skies over almost the entire country, even if temperatures will be a little cooler, slightly below seasonal norms. It is still too early to establish precise forecasts for the weekend: it will depend on the positioning of the Azores anticyclone, but this “could at least guarantee us a beautiful, slightly cool Saturday before the return of the clouds on Sunday at northwest”. So choose Saturday for your outings, the sun should be present almost everywhere!
This calm time may not last, however. According to trends Météo-France for next week, the sun would not be there. “The weather is expected to be humid across the country. As for temperatures, no strong signal but a trend for temperatures close to normal,” reports the site. The weather at the beginning of October therefore promises to be very variable again.
