Two exceptions to this new rule, however: wearing a mask will remain in place in public transport (such as buses, metro, planes and trains), but also in health establishments, such as hospitals, clinics and other nursing homes. , “in which it will remain required until further notice” says the government.

However, it is not forbidden to continue to wear it. Many doctors and the Minister of Health himself, Olivier Véran, recommend that the most fragile people continue to wear the mask in closed and poorly ventilated places.

Lifting of the vaccination pass

The famous QR code to be presented at the entrance to all leisure venues, such as amusement parks, museums, bars, theaters, stadiums, cinemas or restaurants will no longer be required either. today. A temporary suspension of the vaccination pass, which can be reactivated if the situation deteriorates.

If the vaccination pass disappears, the health pass remains but it will only be requested to access medico-social establishments, such as hospitals, retirement homes or establishments welcoming people with disabilities, because of the fragile public who frequent them. The vaccination obligation is maintained for all caregivers.

New protocol in schools

The school protocol returns to level 1. This means that the mask is no longer compulsory at school, for both students and teachers, but can be worn optionally. Student mixing is possible between classes, by level or in the canteen. Indoor sport can also be done without a mask.

Regarding the protocol for children with contact cases, in primary school, they no longer have to isolate themselves but must carry out a self-test on D+2. From the sixth and until the end of high school, unvaccinated case-contacts must isolate themselves for 7 days and carry out a PCR test or an antigen test to return to class. For the vaccinated, a self-test on D+2 is sufficient and their isolation is not necessary

Change in companies too

Mask-wearing and social distancing measures end in companies today too, as do the measures taken in company restaurants.
