The police have arrested three people and seized weapons in Gothenburg during a crackdown on Friday.
According to information to Expressen, among other things, five to six weapons and an explosive device were seized.
Those arrested are suspected, among other things, of serious weapons offences.
– You can speculate on what they will have the weapons for. Either you keep the weapons for someone or you intend to use them against someone or something, says Peter Kron, the head of the preliminary investigation, to the newspaper.
In Gothenburg, several conflicts are going on among the criminals. Peter Kron says that the police are now working very actively in the police areas so that the situation does not worsen. He says that he feels strong sympathy for his colleagues in the Stockholm area, which has recently been shaken by a number of acts of violence.
– We don’t want to end up there. That’s why we work insanely aggressively. That’s not to say that Stockholm doesn’t work offensively, but we are trying tooth and nail not to end up in Stockholm’s situation, he says.
