Ingemar Stenmark and Therese Johaug have dominated each of their sports.
Now the iconic duo have met for a secret meeting in Sweden.
It has been two years since the Norwegian ski queen Therese Johaug put the skis on the famous shelf. But ever since then, speculation has been rife that she can make a comeback on the ski slopes again.
Johaug’s comeback
After leaving her sports career, the 35-year-old has become a mother for the first time in her life and now the urge is starting to come back. There is much evidence that Johaug can be on the starting line again when the 2025 World Ski Championships are decided on Norwegian soil in Trondheim.

Over the past weekend, the Norwegian made her very first race in two years when she rode the 17 kilometer long Engadin Frauenlauf in Switzerland. She won the race by far, and that may have added flavor.
Met Stenmark
Now comes the next surprise from Johaug who has met the Swedish giant Ingemar Stenmark for a secret meeting. The Norwegian has published an image, see it below, of both icons in social media, with a very cryptic text.
“Fun day with the legendary Ingemar Stenmark”, she writes on Instagram.

The meeting took place at Siggesta farm, a little outside Stockholm. But there is great secrecy surrounding why the two dominants met.
– We were there for a collaboration with a company. Exactly what it is will be announced later, says Johaug’s manager Jörn Ernst to Expressen.
Mysterious meeting
More details than that cannot be given at the moment and the question marks only grow around Johaug and Stenmark’s mysterious collaboration, see the picture below.
– This company cooperates with Stenmark, so he and Johaug took some pictures and recorded some film, says the Norwegian’s manager to the evening newspaper.

Ingemar Stenmark is very active on social media after starting his own Instagram account recently. In addition, he has started to practice pole vaulting in the fall of his age and has plans to compete in the Veteran World Championships later this year.
