We went to see how Denmark’s private practice model works – one difference to Finland is crucial

We went to see how Denmarks private practice model works

Finnish health centers are in crisis. In Denmark, you can get to your doctor quickly. Could the Danish model work in Finland?

A-studio visited Roskilde and met Ole and Birthe Rademacher, who have had the same doctor for 15 years. The relationship of trust between the patient and the doctor benefits everyone: emergency visits are reduced and money is saved. For the Rademachers, having their own doctor is a source of great joy.

The doctor’s office is the cornerstone of Danish health care. Danes don’t go to health centers and no one uses an occupational health doctor, because everyone has their own doctor. You can get to his reception immediately or the next day at the latest.

The Danish model is also discussed in Wednesday’s A-studio. You can watch the program here.

The subject can be discussed on 25.5. until 11 p.m.
