“We wanted to bring her but…”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Linn Svahn has returned to the ski slopes again.
But the Swede still makes a comeback in the World Cup – to the disappointment of the national team.
– We want to bring her to Davos, says national team manager Anders Byström to SVT.

When the World Cup tour comes to Davos, Switzerland, the Swedish national skiing team is marked by a lot of heavy losses. Both Ebba Andersson and Anna Dyvik have been sick and are missing from the national eel troop.

Even Svahn nods

Also Frida Karlsson has declined because she wants to prepare for the World Ski Championships at the beginning of next year. Then Sweden hoped to be welcomed back to Lynn Svahn who last weekend made a long-awaited comeback on the ski slopes after almost two years of absence.

But the national ski team also gets the nod from Svahn for the World Cup competitions in Davos.
– We wanted to bring her to Davos, but she herself felt that she needs to continue to train a lot and chooses to compete at home in Östersund in the Scandinavian Cup. It feels like a wise decision, says the national team manager Anders Byström to SVT Sport.

There connects instead Johan Häggström again to the blue and yellow national team.
– It’s nice that we get Johan Häggström in, who seems to be in very good shape. He was of course disappointed when he left the national team last spring, but I think he has taken it very well and came back in good shape, says national team manager Byström to the television channel.
