The perpetrator is dead, according to police. He shot around about ten people at Campus Risbergska school and then died himself.
The man must have attacked with a hunting weapon for which he was licensed. According to information to SVT, the weapon and the license were clues that led the police to the perpetrator’s identity.
After the mass shooting, the police stormed an address in central Örebro where the perpetrator must have lived.
The police are sorry for details, but SVT has found that the man is zero -taxed in 2023 and has previously changed its name.
He was unknown to the police and has not previously been convicted of any crime. He also has no known thread couplings. The police assume he acted alone, even if they have not excluded that there may be more involved.
