“We have an obligation to dialogue to find solutions together”, assures Mahamat Idriss Déby

We have an obligation to dialogue to find solutions together

In Chad, Mahamat Idriss Déby once again reached out to those who are still boycotting the inclusive national dialogue started on August 20 and which should eventually allow a return to constitutional order.

Mahamat Idriss Déby, President of the Transitional Military Council spoke on Saturday evening on national television. He indicated that the doors remained open to all parties and organizations wishing to join the forum. Remarks made while the weekend was marked by clashes between activists of the opposition party, the Transformers and the police following the summons on Friday of the leader of the Success Masra party by justice.

My own role is the success of this dialogue: I will never stop reaching out to anyone. I wouldn’t want a single Chadian to be harmed by this dialogue, a single Chadian. So our door is always open to all the political parties who are still hesitant, to all the politico-military who have not signed the rights agreement, I say to them ‘come on, we are brothers and this country belongs to all of us, and we have an obligation to dialogue to find solutions together to enable our country to make a success of this transition. »
