According to KalPa CEO Toni Saksman, the club does not intend to accept the transfer of the goalkeeper until the financial compensation for the breach of contract has been paid.
KalPa considers that the Czech keeper Matej Machovsky has broken his valid player contract with the club. According to KalPa, the player has voluntarily left the club.
CEO of KalPa Toni Saksman confirms that Machovsky has not arrived at his workplace. KalPa considers that the Czech has violated his valid player contract by leaving the club.
– All employees have an obligation to perform the work stipulated in the employment contract when they are healthy. In this case, he has a valid fixed-term player contract, which he has not followed, Saksman commented to Urheilu.
Saksman says he cannot comment on the goalkeeper’s current whereabouts. According to Saksman, the club is demanding monetary damages for breach of contract, but he does not want to reveal the amount publicly.
According to the CEO, the ball is now in the hands of Machovsky and his agent. KalPa is not going to accept the player’s transfer until the damages have been paid.
According to Saksman, the club has gone through transfer procedures with the Ice Hockey Association.
– We have reported the violation in writing. Hockey has an international transfer system that allows transfers to be denied, and we are not going to approve his transfer until damages are paid for the violation.
– It is not possible to talk about this issue in a terribly broad way. Of course, for us, this is a pretty clear situation. We expect and hope that he will make restitution. Then he would have the opportunity to practice his profession again, possibly somewhere else.
Czech keeper stayed in the role of second keeper in KalPa, when Juha Jatkola became a playing goalkeeper. Machovsky has played 13 matches in KalPa with a save percentage of 87.80.
